Every year the premier fundraiser for the Ah Haa School for the Arts in Telluride is an elaborate art auction, and every year the pièce de résistance, the showpiece of the auction, is the “art car.” It started in 2004 with a donated vehicle; the school commissioned Lisa Issenberg and Susan Billings to design a motif for the first car and it was a wild success. A tradition was born. These are four of the past art cars.
