Whistler Receptacles

The local bears are numerous, intelligent and very persistent in Cheakamus Crossing, originally the Whistler Olympic Athlete Village and now a community neighborhood. But they can’t claw their way into these custom-designed, bear-resistant trash and recycling receptacles. Not just functional, but also aesthetic, the laser-cut designs feature the region’s Black Tusk mountain, river rocks and autumn leaves.

“They are cool… Usually garbage cans, especially ‘bear proof’ are intrusive & ordinary. These will suit the site nicely & feel like they add some class.” Tom Barratt, TBL Landscape Architects.
