Compassion Uncovered

date: 1998

materials: steel, wood

size: 48" x 30" x 5"

info: This piece was created for, and donated to, the Telluride Aids Benefit, a gala fundraiser which includes a runway fashion show. The theme of the event that year was "The Fashion of Compassion.” The sculpture turns the 1998 fashion show logo into a stitched, steel dress emblazoned with an oversized heart.
